This 1/2 hour workshop will introduce you to the basic technique of darbuka (goblet shaped drum), bendir (frame drum), and riq (tambourine) and their roles in Turkish popular, folk and classical musics. We will review the basic strokes for the treble (tek) and bass (dum) tones on each instrument, as well as some common Middle Eastern rhythms. |

Bolly Dance combines Belly Dance, Kathak, and Bollywood movements!! Participants will be shown different mudras, eye/hand coordination, fun footwork and graceful and energetic combinations. All levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. |

No prior dance experience is necessary. |
